Delicious Tea
Today I want to talk about one of teas which called Schizandra. This tea made from dried fruits of Schizandra chinensis BAALL. This vine has five tastes, so they called "five flavor berry.” Among the five tastes, taste of sour is the strongest. A main producing place of five flavor berry is localized in northeast Asia. There are many teas in the world, but this time I'd like to talk about famous tea in Korea. It doesn't mean that you only can drink that tea in Korea, but it's famous in Korea. There are many interesting in this tea. As you already know, this cha compromises distinct five flavors. taste of sour protect liver, taste of sweet make spleen and stomach better, taste of spicy or pungent protect lung, taste of bitter strengthen heart, and taste of salty protect kidney and bladder. I like pungent and sweet tastes. According to 本草學bonchohak which is Chinese book, high praises that Korean Omija(five flavor berry )is the best quality. Korean Omijacha is well known in China, so they export them long before. There are two ways to eat this tea. You can put omija vine in the boiling water, and then tea will brew well. Another is making this omija to grin and put that powder in to the hot water. In Korea, when I was young, I sometimes drink because its taste good, and this beverage was good for me such as feeling thirst quenchers. Many people decoct this vine of tree, and put 10-15g of vine in to the 500ml water. If you made power, you can put that in to the cup 1-2 for tea spoon. Commonly, people add honey or sugar in that. There are many benefits in this tea. It's good for thirst and cough. In addition, this is good for removal of fever, and protects neurotoxin. Extract of ohmija can control neurotoxin’s effect, and has effect that protect brain cells from neurotoxin. Drink ohmija by brew the tea and alcohol, and variety of different Korean punches called hwachae is famous among the people. I hope you'll be getting rid of your thirst, and boost blood system. Enjoy your tea life!
